Another hour, another company locking features of their game away from used buyers until they pay up.
Just a couple of days ago, EA announced that their upcoming sports titles will have a one time use code for online play, amongst other features. Today, THQ has announced the same for their upcoming UFC title.
All online content in the game, including their biggest new announced feature (Fight Camp mode, which allows multiplayer training), will require entering a one time use serial key before it’s unlocked. Once that key is used it can’t be used again, meaning someone purchasing a used copy of the game will have to pay a bit extra ($5 in this case) to get a code of their own.
At the rate these announcements are coming, I sincerely expect to be writing about 7 of these articles by this time tomorrow.
